Enphase Energy stock hits low as director Kortlang buys big

Enphase Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ:ENPH) - One of the few tier-one micro-inverter companies dealing in Solar Energy has repeatedly posted losses of -10.92% in the last 5 sessions. A set of 5 stock analysts who cover the stock have an average PT at $2.41, with individual targets in the range of $1.3 to $4.5. As of the last trade, Enphase Energy’s stock traded at $1.06; implying that Wall Street analysts see shares climbing about 127.36 percent in roughly 12 months’ time.

However, on Friday, September 23, 2016, Director Benjamin John Kortlang purchased a sizable sum of 600,000 shares of the stock in the company at $1.2 per share, effectively investing a total of $720,000. Kortlang now holds a whopping 4,663,410 shares in Enphase’s stock at this point. This move is seen to be a vote of confidence from the insider moving forward on such a large buy order of the company’s stock.
